And this happens right at power-up, so I can't believe it's going to be integral spooling. It says it's in Auto and in program mode, but won't change the CV from 100% and it will stay that way for hours. Only putting it in manual, then auto, will it start working in auto. However, If I put the PID in manual, and then back to auto, it will work like it's supposed to. I set the P to 1 and the other two to 0 so there's no integral term at all and it still keeps it pegged at 100%. And I'm talking 100-150 degrees higher in this instance. What happens is, in Program, in Auto, on Startup, the CV will shoot up to 100% even if the temperature PV is higher than the SP. PIDE loop in a periodic task set to 100ms, priority 9 (continuous task is priority 10). Logix 5000 Firmware version 20 (I've seen this happen in Control Logix processors on version 30 as well) In the field I have a bunch of 1769-元0ER controllers that all have several PID loops in them. ![]()
